About the role

You will be an integral member of the Private Capital Markets Sales team who will be responsible for driving deal closures in private investment opportunities across primaries, funds and secondaries (SpaceX, OpenAI, Stripe, Bytedance etc).  

Your primary duties will also encompass growing, managing and farming investor relationships, and building deal origination insights through investor-driven trend analysis.. You will also engage in brokerage activities, including the purchase and sale of secondary shares in private companies through various structures, such as direct on the cap table and indirect methods like SPV, VCC, and forward contracts. Furthermore, you willl play a crucial role in contributing to the team's strategy and business development initiatives, identifying growth opportunities, and enhancing the team's market presence.

Some Of The Key Responsibilities Include

  • To conduct research and devise scalable growth tactics to expand various categories of investors within our community. – PE/VC funds, corporate funds, family offices, external asset managers, high net worth angel investors
  • To work alongside the syndication team to lead direct fundraising efforts for [seed to Pre-IPO] companies (Hungry Planet, GALY, SpaceX etc.)
  • To monitor activity in the secondary markets and support the brokerage of secondary sales and purchases of private company shares in mid to high-growth tech (Epic Games, SheIn, ByteDance,  OpenAI)
  • Assist in deal origination efforts by applying  investor analysis and investment insights (aid the syndication team in building a consultative-sales-led approach for research objectives and trend analysis, for the purpose of high-value origination
  • To develop a comprehensive understanding of our product suite and effectively communicate its value, extending the potential for strategic partnerships beyond immediate deal closure
  • To collaborate with technology teams to optimize and enhance the efficiency of our online distribution process

About you

  • Self-starter, highly creative, analytical and process-oriented. Experience in negotiation or delivering elevator pitches is preferred. A keenness to excel in the art of monetizing relationships is imperative
  • Excellent communication skills, knowledge of a second language is a bonus (Mandarin, Bahasa Melayu/Indonesia)
  • Ability to present to internal and external stakeholders, as required.
